Windows 11 Professional Activate and Installation Guide
Follow this guide to prepare your device, download Windows 11 Pro, install it, and activate it with your product key.
Step 1: Preparing your device
- 1 GHz or faster processor with at least 2 cores
- 4 GB RAM or greater
- 64 GB storage or larger
- UEFI and Secure Boot capable
- TPM 2.0
- DirectX 12 compatible graphics
Always back up important files before installing or upgrading Windows.
Step 2: Download and install
Download link: Microsoft official download page
- Open the download page.
- Choose Installation Assistant or Media Creation Tool.
- Create a USB/DVD installer if you want a clean installation.
- Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
- When asked for edition, choose Windows 11 Pro.
Step 3: Activate Windows 11 Pro
- Open Settings.
- Go to System > Activation.
- Click Change product key.
- Enter your 25-character key.
- Click Next and wait for activation confirmation.
Upgrade option
If you are upgrading from Windows 11 Home to Windows 11 Pro, switch editions first, then activate with your purchased Pro key.
- Disconnect from the internet.
- Open Activation settings.
- Enter Microsoft’s generic upgrade key: VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T.
- Reconnect to the internet after Windows upgrades to Pro.
- Enter the product key you purchased to complete activation.
